Scheduled on-site maintenance

We come to your premises on agreed dates and work through a list of managed laptops, handling preventive checks and minor repairs on the spot, and removing anything that needs bench attention.

We provide services exclusively to businesses and organizations. We do not offer consumer or personal-device support. Minimum engagement: organizations with 5 or more managed laptops.

Reactive repair is expensive. A machine that fails mid-project costs more than the parts and labour combined, because of the disruption it causes. Scheduled on-site maintenance flips that equation. By inspecting fleets on a regular cadence, we catch the small problems that grow into failures and keep devices in dependable condition across their working life.

What a visit covers

MOD-31

Battery and power assessment

Runtime and cycle behaviour are measured, charge circuits checked and failing cells identified so replacements are planned before a device dies unannounced.

MOD-32

Hinge, lid and chassis check

Hinges are tensioned where possible, loose fixings tightened and chassis damage recorded, protecting screens from stress failures.

MOD-33

Thermal cleaning

Fans, vents and heat paths are cleared and fan behaviour assessed, reducing thermal throttling during demanding work.

MOD-34

Display and cable inspection

Panels are checked for early faults, and hinge-side display cables are assessed for the wear that precedes flickering and black screens.

MOD-35

Port and connector test

Charging, data and dock ports are verified against a pass list, and worn connectors flagged for replacement.

MOD-36

Asset record update

Every machine receives an updated condition note, so your asset register reflects the true state of the fleet.

How visits are organised

Before a visit we agree a date, a window and the list of devices. Staff need only hand over machines and collect them afterwards; our technicians work through the list, record findings and return each laptop with a short note. Preventive tasks such as cleaning and tension checks are completed on the spot. Where a fault needs bench attention, the machine is documented, taken under your written authorisation and returned through the normal repair path.

Choosing a cadence

Most organisations settle on a quarterly or twice-yearly rhythm, with additional visits before demanding periods such as seasonal peaks, audits or inspection rounds. Schools often prefer visits during breaks when devices are quiet. Agencies may schedule visits between campaign cycles. The cadence is written into your agreement so everyone knows when the next round is due.

Why it pays

Fleets under scheduled maintenance suffer fewer sudden failures, because degrading batteries and worn hinges are addressed before they strand a user. Devices last longer, which extends replacement cycles and spreads capital cost. And because findings are documented, budget holders can see exactly when a machine is becoming uneconomic to keep in service, and plan its replacement on their own terms rather than in an emergency.
